About
My name is Jorge Andrade Sánchez, a wildlife ecologist from Baja California. My father’s family (Andrade-Murillo) is one of the oldest families from Baja California Sur, particularly from La Paz and Santa Rosalía (Choyero lands). My mother’s side, the Sánchez-Servín family, migrated from Nahuatzen, Michoacán to San Vicentito, and later to El Rosario in 1945. I grew up in Ensenada, traveling across the peninsula visiting my family. The landscapes, wildlife, and people of Baja California have shaped who I am and the work I do today. In this website, I’ll share my research, photography, and personal perspectives.
